Lecturer in the Politics of Conflict and Conflict Resolution

Applicants are invited for a temporary 3-year appointment as Lecturer in the Politics of Conflict and Conflict Resolution, UCD School of Politics and International Relations at the College of Human Sciences, University College Dublin, Ireland. The person appointed will be expected to contribute significantly to research and teaching in conflict and conflict resolution and to work closely with colleagues in the school. The principal motivation for this post is to play an active role in the activities of the Institute for British Irish Studies (IBIS), to help in promoting cooperation with other areas of the school (notably the work of colleagues specializing in development studies and comparative institutions), and to develop links with the college, wider university and external bodies.
2010 Salary Scale: €35,355 - €81,452 per annum
2011 Salary Scale: €31,820 - €73,307 per annum*
*Subject to all new entrants to public sector as of 01 January 2011
Appointment will be made on the minimum of the scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
